Post 93 makes its first donation, since opening their new Post building.  The donation was to Marco Farrer, a 10 year old, who has had three open heart surgerys.

At the National Convention in New Orleans Dee Kreiing, PDP, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary #60 in North Braddock was elected to National 1st Vice President, Gary Fry, PDC, AMVETS Post #50 in Sugar Grove was elected to the position of National 2nd Vice Commander and Ivy Cook (Joe and Amy Stopyra's daughter) was appointed Chaplain of the National Jr. AMVETS.

Members of the Western Region AMVETS and Western Region Ladies Auxiliary hosted a picnic
for Veterans at their Western Region meeting at SouthWest Veterans Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Department of PA "angels" participated in the Honors and Awards program at the AMVETS National Convention in New Orleans.  The "angels" assisted Dee Kreiling, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 2nd Vice President hand out awards for her part in the "Mardi Gras" program.

Post 93,  held its Grand Opening, on November 14, 2009.  Among the nearly 200, that attended, were PA State  Representative - Karen Boback,

AMVETS and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary #50 in Sugar Grove, PA organized the first "Sugar Grove Christmas".  Characters from the Post including AKA Santa.  The weather was frightful but the even was Magical!

 

AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, #50 in Sugar Grove pays tribute to its WW II veterans at it's Pearl Harbor Day celebration.

 

Monument that was the Eagle Scout Project of Jon Droznek of Scout Troop #61 in North Braddock.  This monument is the first one ever erected in the cemetery to Veterans Monongahela Cemetery is over 100 years old.

Dee Kreiling, 1st Vice President of the National AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary presents Eagle Scout Jon Drozenek with a Plaque of appreciation for AMVETS Post #60, North Braddock for his service to Veterans.  Also presenting are PDC Rege Riley, #60 Commander and VFW Commander Joe Vergona.
