Welcome

As the new Executive Director of the Department of Pennsylvania AMVETS it is my

pleasure to welcome you to our website. Please feel free to browse the site and

if you have any questions give us a call or email.

The Department of Pennsylvania has been busy this past year and I look forward

to another busy year coming up.

The state service officer program is up and running and I urge everyone who needs

help or knows someone who does to give them a call. They are also available for

outreach, so if you want them to come out and set up shop for a day to answer questions

and field requests for assistance, they are available. They are ready and eager to

help our Commonwealth's veteran’s families and active service members.

Membership renewal is just around the corner. Let's all give that extra push to try

to achieve 100%. With that in mind, why not begin a membership drive now. It is never a

bad time to solicit new members. Remember AMVETS has a special relationship with the Pa.

National Guard, so give them a call and set up a date to visit with them. They are all

potential members. You may even be able to start a new post somewhere. This is also a

good time to have one of the new state service officers go along with you.

I would like to congratulate our new Department officers and wish them a prosperous year.

Also good luck to all the of this year's Post and region officers.

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer. Remember our veterans in the VA homes and

hospitals and maybe schedule a picnic or other recreation with them. They deserve it!
